Dermal Fillers Dermal fillers are made up of Hyaluronic acid which the skin naturally produces to give both youthful volume and hydration. Dermal Fillers mimic its effects to produce more plumpness in the skin and lips, whilst also being able to reduce facial lines and scars.
Prior to dermal filler treatment After a thorough consultation, the area is cleaned with antiseptic and a numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.
During dermal filler treatment Once the numbing cream has started to work, we carefully start to inject your filler in the desired locations. The procedure usually takes a short time and results are immediate with minimal downtime. Because some patients do experience a little swelling from the procedure the final result will not be seen until about 3-4 weeks.
After dermal filler treatment We advise that you lay on your back for the first 2-3 night’s sleep to avoid any pressure on the treated area. Avoid touching and applying creams or make up for 6 hours after the treatment to prevent infection. Avoid exercise for 4-6 hours post treatment. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Wear an SPF 35+ daily.
